Round Cell Tumor

ROUND CELL TUMOR--PROBABLE HISTIOCYTOMA/ ATYPICAL PLASMACYTOMA

KEY POINTS:

  • Natural Immunotherapy can improve the patients response to tumor growth.
  • Patients seem to demonstrate a variable therapeutic threshold for immune supplementation.

Patient: Luke
Age/Sex/Breed: 10 year old castrated male Rottweiler mix.

Prior History:
1/16/12 - Luke was presented for a 1 cm diameter growth on the left side of his perineum. The owners said that seemed to just recently appear.

Diagnostics:
A fine needle aspirate was performed.

Therapy:
The Ramaekers Immune Formula was started.

Follow up:
2/7/12 - The supplement had been given sporadically and at a sub-therapeutic dose. The dosage was increased to a full therapeutic dose. Tumor size had increased to 2cm X 1.5cm.
3/8/12 - The owner reported that the mass started to develop central necrosis and then fell off. Follow up photos were taken about 2 months later.

Summary:

  • Proper therapeutic dose levels and time for the immune system to respond are key to success.
  • Normally we expect some positive response 3 to 4 weeks after starting immune supplementation. This is dependent on the patient's ability to respond.
