Age/breed/sex: 16 year old Arabian Gelding
History:
3/5/2005-- Royal was presented for chronic abscess formation consistent with Pigeon Breast.
Diagnostics:
Serum antibody titers analyzed at UC Davis Veterinary College were positive for corynebacterium pseudotuberculosis at 1:5120. Titers higher than 1:512 have a high degree of association with internal abscess formation.
Therapy:
3/5/2005—Ramaekers Equine Immune Formula was started on a daily basis.
Follow up:
5/5/2005--Serum antibody titers dramatically dropped to 1:256!!
8/23/2008-- Royal has been symptom free for 3 years and has resumed normal activity as a pleasure horse
