
Dr. Joseph C. Ramaekers, B.S., D.V.M.
Dr. Ramaekers graduated from the University of Nebraska in 1965 with a degree in Technical Animal Science. He then earned his Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1969. After completing his internship at Santa Cruz Vet Hospital from 1969 to 1971, he began his veterinary practice in 1972.
Since opening his veterinary practice in Santa Cruz, California, Dr. Ramaekers has developed a strong interest in the nutritional approach to animal health. He began by identifying nutritional deficiencies and toxicities, conducting extensive environmental analyses that included examining soil and water, as well as performing hair analyses, blood chemistries, and nutrient assessments.

Dr. Steven J. Slagle is a distinguished graduate of the University of California School of Veterinary Medicine, having earned his degree in 1968. With a resolute passion for large animal care, he established a highly successful practice in Granite Bay, California, where he specialized in equine health, serving horses and their owners with unmatched dedication and expertise.
In 2013, Dr. Slagle seized the opportunity to embark on a new journey by relocating to his stunning ranch in La Grande, Oregon. Here, he cultivates Full Blood Wagyu cattle, renowned for their superior quality and flavor. This transition not only highlights his commitment to sustainable farming practices but also enriches his knowledge of animal husbandry.

Dr. Bob McClung, D.V.M.
Dr. McClung graduated from The Ohio State College of Veterinary Medicine in 1976 and has been practicing mixed animal medicine ever since.
As a second-generation veterinarian, he took over the practice that his father established in 1950. Our clinic has since become an AAHA-accredited small animal practice while continuing to provide advanced services for farm animals. Immunotherapy has produced remarkable results for the health, performance, and reproduction of livestock.
Dr. McClung has been utilizing Ramaekers Nutrition immune modulator formulas for over ten years in his practice, treating both large and small animal patients, as well as his own show sheep and feedlot cattle.
