Osteosarcoma Bone Cancer
I am writing this to thank Dr. Bill Burlingame for all the advice and help he gave me to get my dog Ty and myself through a very tough time after his diagnosis of Osteosarcoma, Bone Cancer.
In June 2010, Ty was diagnosed with bone cancer in his left rear leg. At this time, my primary vet, Dr. Sands, at Heron Lakes Animal Hospital in Coral Springs, Fl. suggested we put Ty on the Veterinary Immune Tabs targeted for cancer. During this treatment, Dr. Burlingame and I, along with Dr. Sands were in constant contact to make sure Ty was getting the best possible care and the proper dosage along with his other supplements and medications.
Ty's immune system was greatly compromised due to the cancer, and I believe the Vet tabs greatly improved his chances by keeping his immune system strong enough to fight this dreaded disease. The Vet tabs also help greatly with the pain associated with his cancer. As the cancer progressed, Ty, unfortunately, had to have his leg amputated in Dec. of 2010, but we still kept up with the Vet immune tabs. Surgery alone also compromised the immune system, so it was imperative to keep him on this treatment.
Ty did very well until the cancer got the best of him, and on April 3, 2011, he peacefully went over the Rainbow Bridge.
I believe Ty wouldn't have lasted as long as he did without the wonderful support he got from Dr. Sands and Dr. Burlingame and the way they both worked together for the best dog in the world.… My dog Ty.
