Age/breed/sex: 16-year-old Arabian Gelding

History:
3/5/2005—Royal was presented for chronic abscess formation consistent with Pigeon Breast.

Diagnostics:
Serum antibody titers analyzed at the University of California, Davis Veterinary College, were positive for Corynebacterium pseudotuberculosis at a titer of 1:5120. Titers higher than 1:512 are highly associated with internal abscess formation.

Therapy:
3/5/2005—Ramaekers Equine Immune Formula was started daily.

Follow up:
5/5/2005—Serum antibody titers dramatically dropped to 1:256!!
8/23/2008—Royal has been symptom-free for 3 years and has resumed regular activity as a pleasure horse
